Qantas plans an 18-hour nonstop from Sydney to New York
One of aviation’s ultimate long-haul routes is moving toward reality, with aircraft interiors designed around surviving 18 hours in one seat.
Qantas announced plans for a nonstop Sydney–New York JFK route beginning in 2028, using Airbus A350-1000ULR aircraft.
The flight is expected to take about 18 hours, eliminating the current stop in Los Angeles.
