Zscaler slides after an unexpected chief revenue officer departure
Investors treated a sales-leadership transition as a material execution risk for a cybersecurity company already guiding to slower growth.
Zscaler shares fell roughly 9% after the cybersecurity company announced that Chief Revenue Officer Mike Rich would step down for personal reasons.
Ross Tackett, who had been leading worldwide sales, will take over the role.
Why it moved
The timing unsettled investors because Zscaler is already guiding to slower fiscal-2027 growth. Even though analysts noted that the replacement is internal and familiar with the company's sales strategy, the market priced in additional execution risk.
